Need PN for sensor 88-89 80q

There are several more of these VAG switches/senders
with slightly different pressure ratings.
All the low pressure switches (even those incorporated
into a pressure sender) ground the lead at and below
the rated pressure. So your oil light is ON at KOEF
(Key On Engine Off). The high pressure switches (1.8
bar, 1.3 bar, etc...) are open until the rated
pressure is reach and then they close to ground. These
are used for the 'Dynamic Oil Pressure Warning
System'. The control unit ignores the signal unless
engine RPM is over 2000 rpm or so. I used one of these
senders with a 1.8 bar switch for the oil pressure
gauge in my 914 and wired it to turn on a green light
when the oil pressure reaches 1.8 bar. I still have
the red .3 bar light and switch but added the gauge
and the green light. It confuses a few people but if
they have not been informed they should not be in my
car.
