Clutch creak / firewall crack?

Well, unless there is still some air in the system, perhaps there is 
some play in the pedal linkage and action due to wear?  You could pull 
the knee cover and crawl under there and see if the master shaft appears 
to start moving as soon as the pedal is slightly depressed.
