Matt et al:

I think I read your post right, you have an MC-1 running JT CIS fuel
management with the fuel distrib turned backwards.

MY Q:
IS the BMW bottom (air filter element) too high and rubbing the metering
plate causing your "binding" problem?

When these things die out after start up ( on the cold start valve) IMHO its
a rip in the air tract from the fuel distrib to the IM.

ALSO, is your round BOOT flush with the fuel metering plate surface (MAKING A
PERFECT SEAL) after each time you fuss with the plate?

My 4000Q 10V turbo has the stock Fuel distrib placement and the piping under
the IM to the turbo / IC area, if mine backfires a bit the seal is broken and
the starting of the motor sucks in unmetered air causing the air plate NOT to
move........

Good luck.
