Was: Oil Change Instructions

Can't agree more. Just did my first front wheel bearing this weekend
with a good bit of help from a friend. He gets to find the place for the
new tool, the press, but I don't have room for it anyway so there's no sense
buying one.

It's positively blissful after listening to that damn wheel bearing for four
years or more, albeit probably far less than 10k miles. Was really hoping
that the other one would still be quiet (it is!) since there was no way I
was going to hear it with the one bad on the left. Turns out the cage
around the ball bearings was shattered. It had gotten so bad that interior
trim pieces were starting to vibrate.

Of course, the hood release cable decided to break the day before I changed
the wheel bearing. New part picked up minutes ago.

And to think, I'm flying out west on Friday to pick up my "new" 230k mile
Audi acquisition. And just a mere 12 days after selling another.
