Friday I'm picking up a 2001 allroad for my wife in KC. No it's not
new, and yes it has 49K miles, but for $19K, with a years' worth of
Audi Assured warranty still left on it, it's cheaper and safer than a
new(ish) subie, and will haul more and look better doing it
(subjective opinion inserted in case you hadn't figured that out!). I
know having sold the two cars side-by-side, that i'd rather have an(y
audi) allroad over a subie most any day.....if i'm paying for the
maintenance anyway (which I won't since I can do most of it myself on
the Audi) the labor rates are not terribly different at my dealer
locally which sells both brands. Parts costs are not that different
either, and subies do break now and again, (and squeak and rattle
too).
