Actually, my current radio is a Ford.
(Yeah I know I'm a traitor, but my wife says I have Audi running through
my blood.)
I have barely used the FM radio in my current car, but when I have the
four speaker systems sounds OK. I'm thinking aftermarket speakers would
probably help the bass sound though.

I've been driving an '06 Ford Five Hundred AWD since late September and
I have to admit I'm really liking it. The Volvo chassis and AWD probably
helps a lot though.

I used the iRiver unit in my '93 90S before trading it in. The CD
changer I had was too old and would not read burned CDs and with only 10
CDs you are pretty limited on your music choice. My Rio MP3 player could
hold 1.5Gig of music (flash based) and the iRiver unit provided the
perfect means to play the tunes in my car.

My Ford radio actually plays MP3 format CDs and shows the ID3 tags on
the display to boot (and holds 6 CDs). I can fit about 190-200 songs per
CD, that's equivalent to about 15 normal CDs to 1 MP3 CD. Having the 6
CD radio able to play MP3 CDs is equivalent to a 90 CD changer. Even
better is the Phat Noise system. 20Gig or bigger hard drive -- Woo-hoo!
