4KQ (Tornado Red) past a know speed trap in upstate NY. I had
several blips show on the ECM so I knew that there was a bogey
present. I baited a gold Chebby Chevette (anyone remember them?)
into doing about 16 MPH over and lured him to the trap. Right before
I got into visible range, I dropped off, right down to 55. The Shovette
flew past the Law Enforcement Officer, in full view. The Officer waited
until the Chebby was clear of his line of sight and then full on Instant
On'd my RED Audi. The visible speed difference between the Chebby
and myself was really quite obvious, but he chose to target me instead.
Fortunately, through prior knowledge and effective ECM (the then best
performer, a CM Passport (series 1) there wasn't anything he could do,
but I was indignant. He didn't bother to after the Shov-it.
At that point, I swore to never own a red car again!
Well, that could have been more an example of him not believing the Chevette could do anything over 55, than him targeting a red car....!
OTOH, I had a lot more respect for the Chevette after I saw a co-worker who weighed a good 300 pounds (and was shorter than my 5' 8") get into his Chevette and chug merrily away..... Poor car....
