The automatic transmission Subarus have a computer controlled center diff.
The manual transmission cars have a Torsen (IIRC).
The VCs went away completely- I think '03 or '04 manual transmission
Imprezas
were the last with VC, as were '04 manual transmission Legacys.
The old VC diff cars were 100 FWD until the VC started locking up.
