The switch has a bulb inside for illumination that is always lit
when the ignition is turned on. The switch gets warm from that.
Also, the headlight relay harness doesn't offload the current for
the side markers/parking lights/tail lights from the switch so
the switch may still get a little warm from that (especially if
the contacts within the switch are already carbonized).
