eBay Deutschland payments

Could someone who knows the in's and out's of payments to German eBay
sellers provide me the 101?

It looks like most of the German sellers request direct transfer into a
German bank account.

Is this easily done?

It seems like the buyer assumes all the risk.  Obviously it leaves little
opportunity to contest payment if items are not delivered.

MAC: There are some used Audi parts on eBay Deutschland that interest me.
