>From the "formula" on the Goodyear, I'd gather the replacement belt is 10 MM 
shorter, part of the problem IMHO.  I've had luck forcing it around the alt 
pulley with a screw driver while turning the alt pulley.

there are adjustments on the alt bracket.
The OUTTER edge is for a socket too. then the smaller inner bolt holds 
tension at the position of "perfect tension" on the belt.
