did all years have Quattro wagon/avant? and '89 - '93?

Tess,

Just to clarify, type 44's (5000/100/200) ran from 84 - 91. Avant's were
availible for all of the years (well, mebee not '84, Ti?) but the older ones
probably aren't such a great idea anyway. 92 -97 were the more reliable (and
probably similarly priced) C4 (100S+CS/S4/A6/S6) chassis cars, of which all
were availible with Avants. Note, the '97 is the only US C4 Avant, the C5
debut was that year and I'd imagine those start getting out of your price
range (the C5 was the generation of A6 that JUST got superceded). Good luck
