Two thoughts:
1. You could try the codes 0000 and 1234. ISTR that those
were default codes for some radios.

2. You could find another dealer.  Maybe drive the car to a
smaller, more rural shop, show them the car, take the radio
out yourself (while they wait; it takes 1 minute), then let
them check the serial number.
