Wheel bearing failure with under 71k..

They just don't last... and the same A4 wheel bearing is utilized even as
the cars have gotten heavier, stiffer, and with bigger, wider, stickier
tires. If the car is track driven (especially with R compound tires), they
fail even faster.
There's more than one S4 I've worked on with all 4 replaced under warranty
(50K). I just did a pair recently on an S4.... so that would make 2 sets of
front and 3 sets of rear in 85K miles.
If you have good on-the-car tools, it's not a bad job.
