hey Nate,

I had a problem where the car would start just fine, drive, and once I
go to the first stop sign it would hesitate before launching. Spent
many years trying to diagnose. swapped plugs & wires, gave up. later, I
had to replace the Fuel Distributor Regulator for a different issue
(wouldn't start). It's a small grey plastic/metal part up top front
right in the engine bay by the fuel hoses.
The car lit up like nothing. maybe some goop build up in there
stopping the flow. Was a cure all. apparently an expensive part but they
dropped in an used one to my '86.

worth a try if your plug wires, electrical and plugs buun looked at.
