2.7t cylinder head

Fellow Audifans,
I'm looking for a right (passenger) side cylinder head
for my father's '00 A6 2.7t (don't ask).  Looking it
up in the family pictures shows a different part
number for the manual and automatic transmisssion
cars.  Are the heads really different?  If so, what is
different?  Cams?  Valves?  The casting itself?  Also,
I have in my posession a head from a '98.5 A6
2.8(30v).  It looks Identical to the 2.7 head except
there is some sort of vacuum valve mounted to the back
of the head on the '98.5 2.8 head.  This head cannot
be used on the 2.7t motor can it?  Thanks in advance.
