Eric,

The Diags here:

Should allow you to figure out a great deal of what is going on inside the
AC system. All I had was a bad/intermittent connection to the Aux fan on my
S6. Was the cheapest fix on any of my Audis.

Regards

Subject: AC Weirdness

The AC on my '96 A6 has some gremlins. As I'm driving along, it will cycle
on and off. The little snowflake indicator on the climate control even goes
off. At first I was thinking it may be the throwdown switch being a little
hyper sensitive, but it doesn't seem to matter if I'm accelerating hard,
soft, or not at all. After a ~30 seconds it will turn itself back on. Any
ideas? Should I be scared of this trip to the shop?

Thank you,

Eric
