Tat..Tat Noise in Engine

I had lifter tap from my 200Q, sometimes at startup (after a LONG cold sit,
as
in storage) and surprisingly after a typical 40 - 50 second autocross run
(it didn't
do that very often, there's better iron out there for that purpose).
Contrary to Eric,
I had the most trouble with Castrol (Syntec) and the least with Mobil 1. Car
did
always (since I had it, from 80 K mniles to 198 K miles) have synthetic, and
I
did an engine flush (Rislone) once at around 110K miles, just to hope to
kill the
tap. It never worked. YMMV.
