FWIW, Ron and I picked up a V8q motor from the ground and lifted it
into the boot of his avant. All fluids were drained, but all other
components were still attached, including headers, starter,
alternator, etc.

It wasn't light, but it wasn't impossible for just the two of us.
Pretty light for a 3.6L displacement motor. All aluminum, baby.
