As Richard also suggested,
it sounds like you have a broken clip attaching the
trim to the sunroof.
as you suggested in your initial mail, it's cosmetic
you won't get wet
I suggest that you half open the roof, or rather open
it enough to get
your head in the hole and pull down gently on the trim
panel to see what
the difference is between the left and the right side.
the ETKA image isn't very good, but the bentley shows
4 U shaped spring
clips at the front of the trim panel.
if you're lucky and the clips aren't broken, then it
might just be a
question of relocating the clips in the holes in the
mechanism and
giving them a solid tug forwards
maybe giving them a bit of a bend with a large flat
head screwdriver
might help increase their 'spring clip' properties.
if the clips are broken then you will have to change
them.
part number is 443 877 281A on my version of ETKA.
there are 4 clips held on with pop rivets (N 904 376
01- in case you
have a desperate urge to subsidise you dealer!)
you should be able to unclip the rear then the front
of the trim from
the sliding roof and carefully ease the trim panel
forwards and the roof
backwards until the clips are accessible
either that or glue the trim panel on with an enormous
gob of silicone
sealant.
might work for a while!
Richard
I think i've fixed the word wrap issue.
