Nit - The D1 V8Q had aluminium engine block, but steel body evolved from the
typ 44. ASF / aluminium body was first found in the D2 A8Q '96-up. I'd
wildly guess that the dressed all-Al V8Q engine probably weighs pretty close
to the same as an iron-block 20v 5-cyl w/turbo plumbing, for instance. With
fairly similar power ratings, weren't 3B and PT acceleration times
distressingly similar (for the $10k+ premium on the V8Q anyway)?
