Alternator works but...

In tandem with your last post, I am assuming this is an '83 UrQ... here 
is what to do (warning, big work ahead).

Get an 85-87 coupe GT parts car.  Strip all it's wiring, and the 
underhood fuse box, and cut out the metal where the fuse box went.

Strip your UrQ, except for engine management circuitry.

Replace with the (better) later coupe wiring harnesses, and install the 
underhood fuse box.

What, you wanted an easier answer?  The underdash fusebox is a 
nightmare, there were even early TSB's to move and rewire the FPR so it 
would work right, as I recall.  Its connectors are always getting funky 
and dying or melting, etc. etc......
