HVAC question about 1995 A6

Guys,

Want to put a can of refridgerant into my A6 as the compressor is cycling on
and off so its definately low.  Need to know where the low pressure port is
on the A6.  I found one on the front at the condenser, but its fitting was
smaller than what I have for an adaptor.  So I am thinking that was the high
pressure side.  Is the low pressure side on the compressor?
