88 80Q fan knob cable does what?

Hi Huw,
I have already reassembled the console, however with things put back 
together, you cannot rotate the fan knob past 'off' counterclockwise.  
So maybe I misunderstood what was happening.

Next time I tear into it I'll put up some pictures.

Thanks for a great web site Huw, one of these days I will fix my vacuum 
probs and check my sensors.  Any advice on repairing the broken 
headlamp mount clips?
