I agree completely.  I have trouble getting excited about the current format
since it doesn't reward outright speed and car control.  Rather, it favors
precision driving and consistency with times.  No easy feat, but not the
same as running with your foot to the floor in all but a few places for ~8
minutes. (Bob & I weren't in the really fast classes)
