Welcome Matt. I had a 1991 pearl Audi 90q20V. It probably has about
170k on the clock today, although i'd guess the real mileage would be
between 200-220k. You didnt get it in Florida did you? That's where
mine last was.
Now, on to the title topic.
Yea, lets be realistic. Waving is a "cult" thing. It may happen from an
URQ to an URQ or a '95 S6 to a '95 S6 (or in the abovementioned B3 20V
sport version cars), but most Audis are now what Buicks once were -
"doctors' cars". Good for audi. But let's not assume any of those
folks feel any particular feelings toward the marque.
I do occasionally get double takes from other S6 owners. Its such a
rare and cultish car. But in, say, an '02 A4? As they say just east
of here "fuggeddabowdit".
