I little late to this but I can't live without my SIRIUS radio anymore.  
It is invaluable for a long trip. I listen to Howard Stern, great music 
and football.  There are a couple hundred channels so there is always 
something to keep you going.

Bag everything else and get yourself a Sirius set up that is portable.  
It will work in any car or at home.  Well worth the money.
