The Canadians are cool to let you in.  It's getting back into the USA which
is a pain.  I called a few months ago when some friends showed up in Buffalo
and didn't bring thier passports.  You WILL need a passport to get back into
the USA, starting this coming December.  This summer, all that is REQUIRED
is a license and/or birth certifcate.

Just make sure your car's paperwork is in order.  Temporary plates might be
a problem.  If in doubt, call customs and ask.
