Plan B: a 4.2L V8 for luxury, a 95.5 S6 Avant for fun/utility.

It saddened me, too.  I'm not sure I believe the story of how
it died, but what really upset me was that the Euro lights 
and sports seats couldn't be salvaged.  Sigh.
