sunroof, door handles

As my local junkyard never seem to have 4kq's, I pick
from Golf's and Jetta's.

Found that the similar era GOlf or Jetta sunroof will
drop right in my 86 4kq.  You lose the tilt function
though as the VW's didn't have it.  Doesn't matter
that the VW's were manual and the Audi is electric. 
Just make sure the sunroof panel is the same
dimension.  OPen the donor roof, remove the dozen or
so screws holding the sunrood and track in place,
remove hand crank and gear, then slide the whole
assembly out the front.  Pops right in the 4000,
reverse of removal.  Electric motor lines up fine.

Also had broken door handle on passenger front side. 
Picked one off the same VW as the sunroof.  As the
4000 has central locking, it is not a drop in
replacement.  However, yo0u can switch the pivoting
lever that actuates the door release by easily
pressing out the roll pin on your old handle, and
swaping with the pivot level on the VW handle.  Takes
about 3 minutes.  Swap your key tumble (pops right
out), then swap the back part of the tumbler that
connects to the Audi lock/release levers.
