And even with the muffler that car is hideously loud. If we are talking 
about the same car, it has a muffler that runs most of the distance between 
the front and rear wheels (traveling forward) outside of the bodywork. At 
Sebring one year I remember watching most of the muffler glowing red down 
the front straight, and you can hear the thing overtop of the 935's and 
962's without trouble at the opposite side of the track. The only thing I've 
ever heard that approaches the volume level is F1 at Indy. That was pretty 
damned loud.
