ISV doesn't work after disconnecting FI control unit 88 80Q

I had to disconnect the wiring harness to the FI control unit when I did a
heater core replacement. As soon as I got the car running again I had a idle
problem at start up. I ran the codes and got a 4431 (Idle stabilizer valve
wiring problem). I then did the 4 output diagnostic tests, I could only hear a
positive result on the 4th test (4443 Cold start valve). The other 3 tests
produced no clicks, pops or clunks. The wiring harness to the FI unit was a real
pain to both disconnect and connect, is it possible to bend some pins during
the installation and only have a minor problem (such as the ISV valve) and
still have the car run perfectly otherwise? I can always look at the FI
connection again but it's hard to get at, the clip comes loose easily but trying to
get enough slack to undo the hook is almost impossible, both off and on
...... any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jim
