Adapting Alpine to A6 bose

Anyone have any experience with this?  I'm picking up an Alpine head for my
95 A6Q Sedan and I want to make sure the head isnt overdriving the speakers
since they are individually amplified.  I realize I wont get the neat in
dash display of what station its on, but 75% of the time I forget I can look
at it and look down at the radio anyways :)
