[V8] Bumper cover plastic repairs

Brandon,

Ingo's Steamboat efforts certainly were memorable. I am still amazed how
the bumpers on the LT-1Q are holding up to the abuse handed out. I hit snow
banks hard enough to push the rear Qtr in 4 inches and the bumper is fine.
One 30+ "side slide" into a bank pushed in the rocker panel and the bottom
of both doors but both bumpers just need new mounting clips. The V8 bumpers
are Glass (at least at lows temps) in comparison to the 5K items as Ingo
demonstrated very effectively. :-)

LOL- Only some of us know how funny your response was, Ingo.

Kneale,

That's a tough one for the V8, as it's the first Audi to use (for lack of a
better word) a polycarbonate-type cover. The older Bumpers were
considerably more resilient as are (comparatively-speaking) the later model
ones. If anyone has found a good way to specifically repair V8 bumpers, I'm
very much interested -- though my bumper- cracking/destruction experiment
this past February at Steamboat Springs would make a repair totally
unfeasible. Sometimes replacement is the only option.

Does not apply to yours, of course, Kneale.
