Oil pressure/BOOM!!!!

My first instinct is that you've blown a head gasket, as that could
pressurize the system enough for the oil stick to shoot out like you
described.

Blown/bad head gaskets also dump pressure into the cooling system. When you
take the cap off the expansion tank, do you get excessive pressure
releasing?

The lack of white smoke and scent of burning coolant from your tailpipe (a
dead giveaway of a bad/blown head gasket) may be because your coolant is
really low. If so top it up and watch the tailpipe. Smoke signals are bad
news.

Let's hope it is something else! Something easy to fix. Good luck.
