I have some pics of my 'Bodgeit & Scarper Inc.' fix,
but no way to post
them.
anyone who wants to see the pic, mail me and i'll send
a copy
I used 2.25 inch silicone hose.
I've been gibbering on about using 4" but was talking
out of my bottom.
Maybe I had too much british beef in the 90s and have
short term memory
problems
(that might start a war à la Edwina Currie egg thing)
one reason for not using genuine parts was the price,
the other was that
someone on the list suggested that the contents of the
muffler can
disintegrate and migrate into the intercooler.
I didn't fancy that.
Nick.
I found a part number for a genuine one piece hose
from the turbo to the
intercooler. i.e. no muffler
which was 034 145 746F (up to chassis 44-k-038 261,
after that it had
the muffler), but the local dealership wanted $340
canadian plus tax.
not cheap...........
