The size of the pulleys determines the rate of rotation, not the number of
teeth on the belt. The pitch of the teeth is important since the HTD (High
Torque Drive) belt will not work with the earlier style pulleys (square
teeth).
As long as you've got the adjustment range to bring the 121-tooth belt into
proper tension I imagine it would work fine.
