Well, someone was half right... it's a vacuum reservoir, but not for the 
door locks.

Correct, the only cars I have seen with a "reservoir" attached to the 
locking system were two door models, I suspect it is just there as a 
buffer since only 2 (instead of 5) servos have to be opened or closed.

And, of course, no reservoirs either.
