How do I remove rear headrests on a '96 A6?

I can't take credit for this, I learned this from Rossato:

On my 95.5 there is a (somewhat) hidden circlip type spring. It's accessible
through
the slot in the side of the plastic bases of the headrests.I can't recall if
there were
one on each post, or only one per side. Once the clip is out, the headrests
simply
slide right out.
