URQ weird behavior

Tonight the car (83 early URQ WX) threw me a curve.
It recently has been sporadically cutting out (tach would drop) briefly  when 
hitting a hard bump. Tonight it died going down the road- just quit. Pulled  
over, shut off (re-boot the computer), starts up, drives home and in the 
garage  is idling at 1400 RPM with duty cycle stuck at 53.7. Tripping WOT switch - 
no  effect. Unplugging O2 no change.
What the hell is this all about?
