I think you have to spin the drivetrain while the car is on a lift, if you
can find someone who will let you do that.  Get it up in the air, start the
motor, lock the differentials, and give it a (slow) whirl.  That sounds like
a crazy idea until you realize that with the suspension at full droop
whatever problems there are in any of the CV joints should manifest
themselves at a relatively low RPM.  Disclaimer:  I have never tried this,
it's a SUGGESTION.
