1999 A6 no start

This might be a silly question, but how's the battery? The only time
my '99 A6 wouldn't start was due to a dead battery. Silly me, I had no
idea that the OEM battery was not sealed and required distilled water
on a regular basis. I replaced it with a maintenance free battery and
have no issues since.
