Actually seeing the post accident pics, I think what saved the Audi driver
was the fact that the semi hit the Jersey Barrier at an angle and the cab
was firmly into the barrier with the trailer still at an angle, with the TT
in
the resultant pocket. Had the semi been going relatively parallel to the
barrier and then decided to "see what's on the other side of the barrier",
I don't think the TT driver would be speaking to us today (and the Bus
would've run straight into the back of the trailer with somewhat more
disasterous results).
