I work for that company, and it's simply not true.  If you didn't get it 
there in 30 minutes, the customer got money off the price, but it DID NOT 
come out the driver's pocket.  In fact, more times than not it resulted in 
a larger tip because they would give you all or a portion of the $3.00 in 
addition to the tip they were already going to give you.  In truth, there 
was no incentive to speed just because of the 30 minute guarantee.  In fact 
there was an incentive to NOT get it there in 30 minutes if it was 
close.  That 'need to speed' was just invented by the lawyer seeking to 
gain a lot of money on one accident involving one driver.  He got it, and 
it cost everyone else in the country a chance to get $3.00 off the price of 
their pizza.
