looking for a new radio for the ol' 5k

As part of the everlasting reconditioning of my '88 5kcs, I'm
trying to put together a nice sound system. My main frustration
to date - there will be many to come - is that I don't care
for the current, bling-bling, NBA basketball shoe appearance
of the head units. I'm so desperate that I'm considering buying
something new from Audi if it has what I want. That would be
a good FM tuner and a single slot, in-dash CD. I do not want
to have to flip the front plate or to have a motor do it in order
to stuff in a CD. Nor do I want a friggin' TV screen in my
radio. And black with amber illumination would be so sweet.
Does anyone know if Audi has put a CD slot into any of their
radios in recent years?
