Car Covers?

Is this the dirt that was already on the car before the cover was installed
and shifted around, scratching the paint, or stuff that manages to blow in
underneath the cover? I know, telling the difference is probably
difficult, but I think I could abate the latter, or at least hold it at
bay. I can park the car in a place where it's shielded from the wind and
there's very little on the ground to get picked up and blown underneath the
cover..
