I recently moved from Chicago to the east coast.  On the trip back, I
trailed the truck that was moving all my worldly possessions, and it
wouldn't go over 68 MPH and slowed considerably on hills.  So I set the
cruise at 65 MPH on my '87 5KCSTQ and averaged 39.7 MPG during the the
trip.  It was a long, boring trip ;) punctuated only by a few bursts of
accelleration, but the car performed marvelously and I wouldn't have wanted
to drive a hybrid.  This is a relatively large four-door sedan with a
big trunk loaded fully with assorted schtuff. I had at least 300 pounds of
luggage in the car, plus me.

And it didn't break down afterward.
