I don't know about the hub end, but the difference at the tranny end is
that the 87.5's output flanges are a larger diameter. They are,
however, interchangeable with the earlier version - so, if you can get
the earlier axles (after verifying that the hub end is the same), just
get a pair of used flanges from an earlier trans. and swap them on.
(sort of btdt when putting an earlier trans. into an 87.5 here. Wait,
that means I have a set of the earlier style flanges sitting on a shelf
somewhere...)
You could also see if Chris at Force 5 has 1. a pair of good used axles,
either style, and if they are the earlier ones, also snag a pair of
flanges from him.
