Heat shield material (was: Pierburg Pump, Brakes, etc., etc.)

I've not been following this thread or I would have piped up sooner.  The 
MC/res/lines on my turbo Miata are quite close to the turbine, so I 
fabricated a sheild out of an aluminized fiberglass fabric I got from 
McMaster-Carr.  It's cheap.  Search part number 88475K2 at www.mcmaster.com

Make one or two cardboard (cereal box) prototypes then cut out the real 
thing.  Mine is fastened with zipties which are out of the heat path, but 
you could also use safety wire.
