Air Filter - '87 5KCSTQ

Thanks! That's great to know. Maybe I'll swap the one on the '86 if I can
find a good replacement.

Also a brief note: the epoxy repair to the cross-piece where the upper end
of the spring between the recirc/fresh-air doors seems to have worked and is
holding well. Kneale's suggestion is even more robust and sturdy, but I
would pronounce this as an acceptable solution, too. I used epoxy designed
for bonding *hard plastics* which takes a long time to set up and
cure. First I coated the cross-piece itself, making sure I got enough into
the split. I clamped that for a few hours using a very small C-Clamp to let
the bond form, then I reattached the spring, letting it hang with no stress
on it -- and put a little more epoxy on, underneath the spring hook. Then I
let everything cure for a full 20 more hours or so. Reatacched the lower
door and spring with new insulation and everything is working very well at
this point.
